Finding Safety and Support / Encontrando Seguridad y Apoyo by the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (1998)

This is a generic brochure designed to be used or adapted by local programs; it is designed to be given to victims/survivors and is written in gender neutral language.

The brochure has sections titled: "It Can Happen to Anyone"; "It's Not Your Fault"; "Identifying Support"; "Legal Options"; "Planning for Safety"; and "Help is Available". It includes a definition of domestic violence including a "Does your partner ever..." series of questions to help someone think about whether his/her intimate partner is being abusive.

The brochure is part of a "Domestic Violence...Putting the Pieces Together" series developed by the the Public Education Technical Assistance Project of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence. It is available in Spanish (en espa–ol) and English.
