Beginner CRA Manual by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (September 2007)(101 pages).

This manual is comprised of 9 shorter sections that can actually stand-alone, including:  how well is CRA doing, a summary of the CRA regulation, a beginner’s guide on evaluating CRA performance of banks, CRA exam outline, CRA sunshine fact sheets, contact information and descriptions of the regulators, recent CRA ratings, and CRA agreement case studies.  The last section provides a state-by-state review of CRA success stories.  Advocates may find this manual helpful for capacity building on the CRA and for determining strategies for collaboration in their respective communities.
